There are lockers available, and each bed has a little shelf, as well as an outlet. It can also get a little hot at night due to the close proximity of the beds and small quarters. Once everyone is in the room, it becomes difficult to move around, especially if there are several guests getting ready in the morning, or packing. Our only minor annoyance is that the dorm rooms are a little cramped. There is also parking available on the streets around the property. There are buses from the central bus terminal or the train station, which are both about half an hour away on foot. The hostel is a short walk away from an airport bus stop. There are grocery stores nearby, as well as restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. The hostel is located close to the downtown area, within walking distance from Parliament Hill, Rideau Canal, and shopping centre, as well as the University of Ottawa. Its one peculiarity is that it is a hostel for women only, but other than that it's a typical good hostel, well located and well maintained.
